Enjoying my UK VFR scenery!

Post by Metalmaster »

Well, bought the first two sets and still looking for the third set of DVDs.
( had forgotten how shipping from the UK could be so expensive! 8) ) anyways....
It is great, the level of visual detail, simply great!
Installing my repaints slowly, one question though; does any of you gentlemen know if that other addon with all the trees and buildings slows the sim a bit? Theres also another addon with just trees for the UK right?
Any thoughts?
Appreciated,
Yours,
Rui

I do have a couple of bits of UK VFR, and a couple of Treescapes.
so I can't answer your question properly,
but IIRC, "Port comes from Portugal" (might be before your time?)

Hi Rui :hello:

You may have difficulty getting the 3rd set of DVD's as Horizon/Playsims went bust. Likewise.. the company that made the tree sets (Earthsimulations) also went bust. Treescapes, the program by Earthsims, matched the UKVFR photo scenery by Horizon so you had to buy the set/s which corresponded with the Horizon scenery you had.
There's an alternative called Revolution-X by Just Flight which also adds 3D objects (buildings, trees e t c) .. https://www.justflight.com/product/revolution-x but I've not read a favourable comment about it here.

That's not quite a full set but it's close. Are the VFR 1, 2 and 3 discs version 3? It doesn't say at Flightstore though I know they were selling full v3 sets a while back. I bought a set even though I had ver2 and the v3 updates. You never know when you might need another set

Hi Mike. Yes, we have Port wine here, :agree: lots of them. The range goes from the English brands to portuguese brands like D.Antonia. Im almost 50 myself, (47) ! Thanks again.

Thank you Dave. I will look at that place ;-) I purchased my two sets from there, so the third set will eventually turn up. ;-)
