Looks good to me also. You might argue the components, e.g. one manufacturer allegedly being better than another but we're not talking about big differences in overall performance. What about cooling and in particular for the CPU - stock might struggle with that degree of overclocking. Also what about the case, is this something you already have or will be ordering separately? If separate is there sufficient room for all the components plus plenty of head-room for airflow and expansion (is there room for a future Video card upgrade)? Does the MB have sufficient spare capacity to easily add additional drives or other devices? Apologies for bombarding you with questions but all things to consider if you want a "once in a while" upgrade.

Hi Chris,

All good points, I just got off the phone with my guy, he's not happy with overclocking, recons we don't need to, the original specs included liquid cooling but again he doesn't think we need to go down that route either.
The case is designed to take 2x 1080 cards and liquid cooling so there's plenty of room.

We're still into the toting up the final cost so things still might change a bit

Looks a good spec, Robbie You could save yourself £100 and get the i5 7600k. It don't have hypertheading but it's no advantage in Fsx. Not sure about P3d. Either way air cooling, if not stock cooler, should be fine to 4.8 ghz Make sure you get the k series CPU so even if you don't over clock now you will be able to in the future.
Not upgraded mine yet, waiting for the kaby lake chips to pitch up in ebuyer I'll be going for the i5 with an Asus board. Reviews at the moment indicate cooler CPU at extreme over clocking
