Nope! Confused me a bit more that did.

Just wondering, do any of you sign into Windows with a password when you start the computer? Or is that just if you use a laptop and liable to take it anywhere?

My Desktop running W8.1 & my laptop now running W10 (used to be W8.1) are set up to be password entry using the same password. They are also supposedly set to be synchronised via the 'Cloud'........
Settings can be altered, e.g. one can set for every acces to either needing the password, or in my case not when waking up from sleep mode.

Think I will just keep to using a password for Babs Laptop.
