Hi Paul, I should have flown the old version before installing the updated one then I would have noticed what changes are present.

But as usual I dive in headfirst then wonder what difference there is between the new compared to the old!

Only thing I found that really caught me out was the Twin Otter Fuel Planner....went for a full load of baggage and passengers with enough fuel for a short hop from East Midlands to Liverpool set the trim slightly aft of neutral (as had done on previous flights) and opened up slowly at first and took off with about 80% power. As soon as I rotated the nose went straight up and had the stick forward whilst re-trimming nose down

Found that to maintain level flight I had to have the trim set 3/4 of the way nose down. In future I will load the aircraft myself.
Had a look at the Airbus A330 and it looks really good though I doubt that I will ever buy it as I am not keen on modern avionics and have never tried to learn how to load a FMC with a flight plan, much prefer to use VOR and ADF and will stick to the good old fashioned way of flying along with the good old fashioned instruments.
Regards
Nigel.
