I agree with Henk and Dave on a variety of points. I love the Meteor, but there were some issues when released. The SP1 resolved the texture and external lighting issues. Since then I discovered the scripting for additional external fuel, and an SOH member posted scripting for additional VC lighting.

The generator issue should have been addressed as part of the beta testing IMHO. It is the same problem with the JF Hawk when first released, and later fixed with a SP.

I have many JF and AH products for FSX and FS9. Over time I get the distinct impression that each product has a different designer, and changes in design approach which makes it interesting when they attempt to create products to fit different platforms (e.g., FSX, FSX-SE, P3D, etc.). As them attempt to be innovative and improve the next product, these issues will surface. I have the highest regard for their talent and efforts, but I do wish those "beta testers" would test the product the way I fly 'em and use a checklist to evaluate some of these "minor items" that reach production.

Okay, back to tea time. :guinn:

Glad you like it, here is another one, also available on AVSIM and SOH: Meteor F.8 WH364/U, 85 Sqn RAF Binbrook, 1968. WH364 was retired in 1971 and became a gate guard at RAF Kemble. The jet is now on display at the Gloucestershire Airport Jet Age Museum.

I also wanted to do a 74 Sqn F.8 but unfortunately the texture mapping of the engine nacelles is so poor that I can't paint the squadron badges there, they got stretched and distorted so I gave up.

Wg. Cdr., your circus paint is ready. :hide:
Seriously, are there any others carrying multiple Sqn. markings?

Regarding the JF Meteor - does anyone else find it very twitchy in pitch? I find that with quite a few JF aircraft but wonder if it's my joystick or is characteristic of their modelling. If it is the latter, does anyone have a fix?
