I only found a couple of photos of her on t'internet & a write up in Flight. The Pobjoy was a lot lighter than the Gipsy (with less horses) hence the longer nose.
The Pobjoy grill is modelled, not texture created.
Bit of confusion about her as it looks as if the two seater was made first but not completed as the Streak took preference, then the Kite was completed. Kite was withdrawn from the register after 6 months - why? I think Compers went into liquidation.

Curiously, I read somewhere that Comper wanted to build a two seater after successful sales of the Swift.
The Swift was not suitable for expansion to a two seater, so he alledgedly decided to use the Streak as the base for the Kite. But the Kite is registered before the Streak, and they both took part in the Kings Cup air Race in '34 alongside the 3 seat Mouse - which is registered before both of the others. So believe what you choose as to which was t'chicken and which t'egg!
I believe that Comper went bust very shortly after the Kings Cup Race.
You find some rarities to model for us, Keith.
Tried looking it up in my encyclopedia, but it only mentioned the Comper Swift.
EDIT I thought that might be of interest, but it was the Streak which you modelled earlier, not the Swift (from Ted Cook)

Scorpious, Neville, Thanks for offer of sound file, but I do have Gary Jones' Pobjoy sound file.
BTW how is the Condor experience?
Airspeed, Mike, unfortunately its becoming difficult to find 'non rareties' that have not already been modelled these days, & consequently there gets to be even more guesswork involved - especially interior-wise. There is some more info available on the internet & in Flight Global. So the next model will probably be Compers other one-off - the Mouse.
AllanL, I think the Mouse was in build in 1933, & two Kites in build in early '34, but he was tempted to take part in the Coupe de la Meurth air race which had a the chance of a large prize money, so it must have been shortened & fitted with a Gipsy Major; the Kite followed within a month of the Streak.
