Laptop Users Of P3D

Post by Aharon »

Shalom and greetings all my pals,

If there is any laptop user among all of you who uses P3D version 3 or later, please come forward and post here any tips, advices, and suggestions for any laptop user such as me who just bought P3D version 3 meaning I am totally new to P3D and is not well versed with P3D while flying on FSX for 8 or 9 years.

Thanks and looking forward to tips, advices, and suggestions from any laptop user who is pro in using P3D version 3 or later on his or her laptop.

Regards,

Aharon

By the way, I saw few people using Nimods and few CBFSM planes on P3D without problems!!! Saw their screenshots! So CBFSM planes work on P3D!

I can't speak for anyone else's, but all my aircraft should work fine. :)
The vast majority of freeware aircraft work in P3d, but you do occasionally get ones that don't, or need a bit of tweaking. It's usually gauges that causes the most issues.

DaveG,

Glad to hear that because I love POSKY products!!!!!! Cannot live without them!! Also Vistaliners 727s too.

I am curious to know how you can get Tridents and military version of VC-10s working on P3D.

Aharon

Ah, now the Trident & '10 are FS9 models which brings some issues. The VC10 works, but there are a couple of graphical issues (gear doors & spoilers, if I remember). I haven't tried the Trident. With FS9 models, the only clickspots that work in the VC are ones attached to physical objects such as the yoke, or throttle levers. Clickspots that are part of a gauge on the 3d panel do not work.

I use P3Dv3 on an alienware laptop. Of course its got a quad core i7, 24GB of ram and a pretty heavy duty video card w 2GB of ram. Only wish now I had gotten the bigger 8gb video card instead of the 2gb and the bottom does get pretty hot. Overall I have no problems. I have had stability problems with the 1-11 and the 748 so I use FSX when I want to fly them.
