Instant Scenery 3

For the same price as v2, with added and simplified features. Very interested in the lakes and coastline feature. *-)

ISv3 has just (a few days ago) been updated as it didn't work fully across a number of platforms. Reports on the update are thus far promising.

I'm still on v2 as I missed the free upgrade by a day and CBA to fork out for the new version

FREE UPGRADE!!?? They didn't tell me!
I'm not sure if my v2 still works, as FSX is still off air. Now it's stopped asking for DirectX, but says it can't create the scenery cache. Maybe there's not enough space on the SSD?

I think you'd already got v2 Mike as I bought it on your recommendation having tried the freeware options. Had I hung on a day longer.. I'd have qualified for the free v3 upgrade :wall: I actually tried the upgrade and it broke v2

I've only got 33gb left on my FSX drive and it still runs ok. You can't have less than that already can you?

NOW I see what you mean about the free upgrade, I thought you'd responded a day late.
I seem to remember that now, and yes, I had it since 23/11/2012.
Space left on the SSD 73.7Gb, and on the new HD 448Gb.
I looked at the fsx.cfg today, and see that lots of lines point to C:\ , so I have 2 choices; change them all to E:\ and see if it helps, or reinstall, which may fix some of those missing texture and object messages. :dunno:

That may do it Mike. Much as we hate to do such things.. sometimes, the only way out is to start again. I don't envy your task but I'm sure that in the end.. it will be worth it

Mike, many thanks for posting the link. Will be buying that when I can as even though Orbx is good I often feel that some more scenery could be placed in some of the airports/airfields in the Global scenery that I have i.e. France, Gerrmany etc.

Regards
Nigel.
