Thanks Dave. :)
Really enjoying the Tornado since the last SP. Still some bugs to squash though. :cpu:
Didn't like the load manager using the in-sim TV screens. Too slow and clunky, so I wrote a new one!

Great pictures, DG, and nice to know that JF have done some remedial work on the Tornado. I felt rather sorry for them when it was first released.

Cheers Paul.
Performance-wise, the Tornado is roughly the same as the Aerosoft F-14 now. Took 4 (and a bit) service packs, but it's now where it should be in that regard. :tonka:

Excellent stuff, Dave!
That first shot had me looking very closely to see if it was real or sim :worried:

btw, I wanted to quickly check a large section of Scottish Isles scenery last week, and did it in Dino Cattaneo's Tomcat.
Though it stands to reason, I was amazed just how quickly the fuel burns in those beasts. :-O

Yup.. get the throttles close to reheat or above and you need a tanker close by

Incidentally Dave.. I just downloaded the Demo again. I'm sure it's up to SP4 spec as the file size was markedly different from the previous version. While it's better, I still get some horrible micro-stutters in spot view and my ground textures had a hard time keeping up. Had just enough time to takeoff from Valley, do a quick circuit of the Loop and land at Llanbedr before the 'time expired' warning popped up  As a direct comparison.. I jumped into the Aerosoft F-14 and went back round the Loop before pulling Enterprise up in AIC for a trap. I didn't have FR's visible at all.. but I found the F-14 had less effect on what was happening around me. The ground stayed in focus much better and the whole experience was less stuttery. Model texture redraws when popping out to spot were much faster in the F-14 too though I did see it all black once

Does the demo come with the texture and gauge tweaking utility? May be worth playing with that if you want to persevere with it.

Y e s.. I'd forgotten about that. With almost everything turned off and low-res textures.. it sorta runs ok *-)
