Brexit will certainly mess up us ex pats, & I can't see the EU welcoming Britain in its attempts to rejoin on its own terms.....Rattles thrown out of pram syndrome?
In any case it will take years to negotiate any new agreements & thats before it comes before the 'Human rights' brigade & legal beagles......

Make that certain ex-pats. If the UK leaves, then surely the Commonwealth will become more relevant. On the other hand, those who take a pension out of the UK (like me) will surely suffer a devalue in the Pound whichever way it goes. Money men panic at the merest hint of any change in anything including the weather, the loss/gain of an hour with DST, the clock tripping over the midnight hour.
I should mention I sympathise with Eu ex-pats too, my sister retired to Espana. And any exit will surely be catastrophic for her and others too. Healthcare vanishing, property prices having already collapsed, they will surely be trapped. And so it goes on.

On the other hand, you do get to drink copious amounts of reasonably priced wine. Very jealous. Stupid thing is, I can still vote but having never held a UK passport (I'm Bi hey ho) they don't easily let me back in the country. It causes all sorts of hilarity whenever we go back. At EGKK and Port of Dover we always get pulled over, At EGLL there has never been any staff on duty to challenge entry. Top security eh?
Just had a silly thought.....
I believe Wales & Scotland are recognised as country's in their own right by the EU, wheras England is not....so how will England be able to negotiate anything, if Scotland & Wales decide to stay in the EU?

That's easy we'd simply renegotiate as the UK i.e. The UNTIED Kingdom. Where's the problem? Come June I shall be rectifying the big mistake I made back in the 70s when I voted to remain in.
