I don't believe any of these packages contain airports so unless you've changed them.. all you'll see is default. I can imagine there will be a lack of autogen as photoscenery tends to sit on it!
Thanks for reply. Since I hear complaints from other users, I am guessing I will not be using it but hey at least I still retain ownership of that free scenery for TEN YEARS. LOL Maybe there will be free update to correct all problems that other users are complaining about.

I do not mind lots of greens anyway. I still have VFR France sceneries and they do show AMAZING rich green!!

I think I'll give it a miss too. I don't think I've ever been to Ireland in FSX/P3D, but if I suddenly get the urge, I'll buy Orbx's Northern Ireland and Eire.

Whatever floats your boat Dave. :-O
I do tend to agree though, Orbx is not going anywhere near my PC.

Well I would have thought Dave G's two pictures would provide you with the answer to that one. If the scenery has such errors, then it doesn't matter that it's free - it's flawed, and not worth the 19Gb download.

Dave B and Dave G - do neither of you have anything by Orbx ? Or have you tried it and not liked it ?

I thought that this scenery was relatively new, but it comes from 2014.
There were very disgruntled comments about it back then, so I doubt that we'll be seeing any patches.
I tried commenting in reply to PCA's email, but it came back undeliverable.
btw, I've been using ORBX Australia for a couple of years, and quite like it, with the exception that it's generically representative, not photoreal.
In particular, I took issue with the docklands area of Melbourne, which is inaccurate.
Whilst browsing for comments, i found that someone was using a freeware software called FSET in 2014, but this drew a blank when I searched it.
I guess that it's been discontinued or bought up by a commercial outfit. Just odd that I couldn't find even a historical reference to it.

Nothing Orbx installed here. I've tried their Tasmania and Iceland demos in the past, but wasn't particularly impressed.
Most of my flying is done around the UK, and for that I have GenX, UK2000 and Earth Simulations.

I had the Tasmania scenery plus PNW as demo's and on the strength of that.. bought FTX England a day or so after it's release. Surprising just how inaccurate ORBX is when you see it on your own 'turf' and FTX England lasted 3 days before it, and the others, came off. I don't care how inaccurate Tasmania is or the PNW for that matter but being so used to photoscenery.. England had to go. Couldn't see the point of keeping Tasmania or PNW so they went too. Like DG.. I pretty much ONLY fly in the UK and I like that right ;) Were ORBX the only alternative to the default.. it'd be worth a consideration but I'd certainly not choose it over GenX and Treescapes. I can put up with the lack of autogen (the houses are mostly white anyway!!!).

I currently have GenX vols 1, 2, 3 and 4 installed plus 5, 6, 7 and 8 (with treescapes) ready to go.. when I get enough disc space
