"It" is: Users\AppData\Roaming
I am running W7.
l
I decided to try the free version of AivlaSoft Electronic Flight Bag. I thought that I had installed both parts correctly for FSX. When I made my first 'run' to produce a route from Stansted to Dusseldorf all seemed to go well and a route was produced but I could not see the SId and Star on the EFB map that I had asked for. I could not summon up weather from my HiFi ASE - the EFB favours HiFi ASN. The system indicated that it could not find "C:\Users\AppData\Roaming etc. where the snapshot weather txt was expected to reside.
Off I went searching for the 'missing' AppData\roaming file but no luck. The file had not wandered or become misplaced into another file it just appears not to be on my computer.
However I have just tried to create a brand new file under users titled "AppData\Roaming". I then receive a message that the file "AppData" already exists in "Users" but I cannot see it nor find it.
Can anyone please help?
Should I delete and reinstall FSX, HiFi ASE, AivlaSoft EFB or any other files or scenery? All my scenery and HiFi ASE seem to work OK at present I am just bothered that I am not able to find the "lost" AppData\Roaming file which my computer seems to have made invisible!

Think there should be whatever your username is between Users and Appdata? users\hobby\appdata etc...

Re: Where is it?
It's a hidden folder mate. You need to make sure "show hidden files and folders" is ticked in the folder view options. After that it's c:\users\YOURUSERNAME\appdata\
Whatever you do don't go tinkering in the profile unless its well documented or someone has told you specifically which files to change / delete:)

Thanks to all of you.
I have just made my system show "Hidden Files" and lo! All was correctly revealed.
Can sleep well tonight!
