3D waves and wakes in P3D v3.1

Post by spatialpro »

Just thought I'd share some shots of the new wakes and vessel movement (pitch, roll etc.) on 3D waves in v3.1 of Prepar3D. The Daring class destroyer and Leander class frigate are from Flying Stations.

Nice shots! Naval ops is finally starting to look good in FS :-)

I just updated my V3 install to 3.1 and got the wake and ship motion, WOOW! It is looking and feeling real! I took my RN Grumman Hellcat paint out for a landing on one of the smaller escort carriers in high sea and it sort of was frightening to see the deck bunch up and down when on close final. But I guess FS finally is starting to replicate this aspect of carrier flying.
