FTX and any other addons that have a specific installer for the relevant flightsim need updating to include installing into V3. :'(

So much for me seeing and waiting. I waited 24 hours. 8)

So far so good, though the contrast between my FTX scenery in v2.5 and the default in v3 is painful to behold. I've always had HDR disabled, but the new sliders for brightness, bloom and saturation might mean I can find a setting I like. Tried the new default Virtavia UH-60, and it's not bad at all. Tried the Avatar and found myself just spinning round, so I need to check what I'm doing wrong there. No great surprises yet, but it feels pretty solid and I don't think it'll be long before I dump v2.5. I just need that Orbx scenery first.

How are you getting on with add-ons, Nev ?

There is a deathly silence from Just Flight, ORBX, A2A and Migration tool over P3DV3. Apparently someone has managed to get FTX into V3 but will not say how as it is very complicated.

Will keep you psted.

Thanks Nev. :)

Well, here's my first ever P3Dv3 screenshot...which was immediately followed by my first ever P3Dv3 CTD 8)

I wanted to keep the sim going so I deselected 'pause on task switch'. The reason for that is because I've been getting some very peculiar behaviour with the KC-97's autopilot when the sim unpauses. So with pause unselected, I tried to go to windowed mode, and the the sim packed up.

Hi Paul,

Installed Flight 1 Islander and the Flying stations Bucc S2 but both aircraft have missing guages.
Skysim Sea Vixen does not load any external textures at all, can only see the 2D cockpit. It is fine in V2.5.

We need an updated FSUIPC I think!

Also get a CTD when I close the sim down!

Thanks Nev, although I haven't got any of those models yet. Agreed on FSUIPC - its been a long time since I updated that anyway. PMDG have released new installers, so I'm in the process of shifting the NGX across. After that, the A2A Comanche will also be moved and then I might pause till Orbx catches up. Let us know what other aircraft you try installing.

Hmm not sure why there are gauges missing from the Bucc they're mostly modeled in the VC!! I'll have a play around when I get round to installing v3 and see if there's a quick fix. A long fix is complicated by my accidentally deleting the original model files...

Tried the Bucc S1 & didn't notice any missing gauges. :dunno:

Nice to know the important stuff still works. :)

Thanks Dave. Though I am half inclined to fly v3 as free of add-ons as possible, I'm going to need FSUIPC for Wide Server.
