I was just flying the P3D-licensed Comanche in P3Dv3 this afternoon, and everything seems fine other than the strobe light, which refuses to come on. There is no circuit breaker for it, so I've queried it on their forum. If there's a problem, it'll get fixed - you can be sure of A2A on that.
Intrigued by all the interest in the Comanche, I zipped over to A2A.
No 25% off banners for me.
The Comanche ranged from $49.99 to $99.99, depending on options.
I think I'll just stick with my C172 and P180.

Er...yes...apart from that. Actually, I haven't really checked that out on my own set up, not properly anyway. I've got REX clouds in v2.5, and the default clouds in v3, so I can do a comparison.
I dragged the P51H over to my WinXP rig which uses ASA rather than ASN and doesn't have REX of any sort installed and as advised.. the glass doesn't illuminate. Looking at the cloud composition.. default clouds have nowhere near the density of the REX offerings. Point at what look like really dense clouds and you breeze through them. Do this with REX and SC and the model will disappear!!
Shame because they know about it but have no intention of doing anything about it. It doesn't require 'fixing' Of the AF/A2A models I have.. only the 504, Corsair and (installed purely for the test) the Anson don't do this.
Yunno.. I wish this hadn't come up as the glass issue has wound me up all morning!!
OK.. while I accept that me being a REX/SC user isn't A2A's fault and that all the models which display the problem work ok using default clouds.. I do think it's pretty piss poor to completely dismiss users that are seeing it without offering any sort of help at all. This isn't customer service is it!! We're right.. you're wrong so get on with it
It wouldn't be so bad if their models were cheap as chips but they're not are they.. far from it

Dave B - I've got Rex Soft Clouds installed in P3Dv2, and I've tried flying through them in A2A's civilian P-51, but I don't see the glass problem with that particular model. Do you have the civvie Mustang , and if so, do you get the problem with it ?
No.. I'm chocka with WBS Mustangs It happens with the Albatros (though it's difficult to see with such a small bit of glass).. the Uhu (I noticed it first with this model).. the Strat and the P51-H. The Anson, 504 and Corsair are ok. I have the FS9/FSX hybrid Mustang (FS9 with official A2A FSX patch) but I know this model isn't the same as the full native WOP release. The maps are much different.
EDIT: Remembered I still have the FS9 (A2A patched to FSX) Mk1 Spit installed and that's fine too though I didn't expect there'd be a problem with it.
