Berrr - limey, where did that come from ? :-O I had no idea it was even being developed. It certainly looks nice, and a nice price too ! Don't think it's going to replace my A2A B-17 though. :)

Paul, Paul, Paul.. you disappoint me  Is anyone here going to buy it now you're not.. DG perhaps? *-) I've already spent my allowance this month (over my allowance truth to tell :worried: ) plus a packet on 'real' stuff so I'm out. Looks nice though :)

But Dave, September is just round the corner - and with it comes a new allowance. ;)

I've always had a niggle with the A2A exterior model around the radio room area, and this AH one has got it right, as far as I can see from the screenshots. It'd be very suitable for a weathered Coastal Command repaint too. But...the A2A one is all the Fortress I need. I once sat down with the Air MInistry's pilot's notes for the Fortress III ( our designation for the B-17G, of course ), and tried to spot errors in the A2A VC. Not a single one could I find. At one point I thought I'd spotted one, but I was looking at a photo of the Fortress II, not the III. It's near perfect - I just wish A2A would release a post-war demilitarized version, with all the guns and turrets removed.

Not for me, I'm afraid. The A2A model fills my B-17 needs.
I thought when I saw the preview over at SimOuthouse they're going to have a hard time selling it, considering the competition, even though it's a different mark.

Hi Chaps :hello:

Well.. no converts here then!

I have to admit I'm so used to seeing a 'G' that the 'F' looks really odd not having a chin turret. Seems there are many over at the Outhouse who've been on the edge of their seats waiting for an 'F' and are falling over themselves to buy it despite it not being from A2A with no possibility of Accusnob.. err.. sim  Bazzar has done a fair job fielding the many questions giving the impression that they've done their homework on it but will that be enough I wonder *-)

Were it a Halifax or a Stirling.. the plastic would already have been 'exercised' but like you two, I honestly think the 'G' fills all my B-17 requirements. In a sale at some point in the future.. who knows but for now.. I'll wait for the Dove ;)

I've always preferred the G myself anyway, probably due to having the Airfix kit back in the day. :)

Gawd, if only it were, eh ? Either or both would be wonderful. I'd rather like a decent Liberator too.

Yes, the G-model is the definitive Fort, and the A2A one is terrific. An essential purchase, I think.
