I'm setting up a bunch of flights in New Zealand and wanted to set the flights up in both FS9 and FSX.
So I have been saving default weather files at intervals in both FS9 and FSX for use with the different flights. Now the weather that is coming from the default sources is frequently quite different for the same point. As in one shows clear weather and the other has 10 miles visibility in rain.
Assuming that FSX weather files cannot go backwards into FS9, will FS9 weather files happily translate into FSX through transferring a saved FS9 flight.

Re: Weather or not
Seems that it's changing like the weather, Allan; isn't that what you want?
I would have thought that FS9 files wouldn't be all that happy in FSX, given the display problems we have with some ported-over aircraft.

Re: Weather or not
Yes, I am looking for changing weather - just not at the same time on the same day (give or take shut down time to switch over) in the different sims.
I know someone will fly them both and then grumble at the difference.
