Has anyone ever had issues with the FSX stock GPS not working. By not working I mean that when selected in the Instrument Panel windows list, nothing appears to happen except the cursor remains in the 'doing something' mode.
If you have - and have managed to fix it I'd be very interested in hearing your thoughts.

Re: FSX stock GPS
I rarely use GPS, except if I'm checking out some new UK scenery.
Haven't had lack of response AFAIK, but I'll put it to the test.
Is your problem generic, or in a particular aircraft or country?

It seems to be generic Mike, thanks
Re: FSX stock GPS
Never had that problem, is the GPS there in the default folders, does it work on default aircraft?

Old pilots never die, they just run out of runway.

yes the GPS gauge is in the correct location and I've even tried replacing it from the CD in case it was corrupt. No it's not working in default aircraft either

Hi Brian,
Displayed the GPS through Views/instrument panel/GPS as you did.
Am able to see the airport I'm at, and can click on the various buttons to see different views such as nearest airport.
When I clicked on "waypoint", I was told something about default page no input, which cleared upon pressing "CLR"
I'm guessing that because I hadn't set up a flight plan, it couldn't possibly let me put in a waypoint.
As I said, I don't normally use it unless I'm hunting for an airport in unfamiliar surroundings.
I should probably do a crash course in GPS before I waste any more of your time.
I fly low & slow, and if lost, I shout out for directions, if there's a farmer in sight.
