I have a problem with a freeware airport (I'm trying to contact the author in parallel with this...) but I'm trying to debug the problem myself and wondered if any airport building gurus might have some suggestions.
The airport is LGAV (Athens, Elleftherios Venizelos) and the freeware pack is SAOxt_LGAV from MORAITIS VAGGELIS.
My problem is the the ILS on runways 03L and 21R (110.5MHz) work but those for 03R and 21L (111.1MHz) don't seem to be detectable. The scenery is at the highest level in my config.
Here's a picture of the airfield in ADE.... I can see the VOR just off the runway but not the ILS itself. Can anyone see anything obviously wrong? Thanks for looking...

The first thing I noticed about that shot is the orientation of the ILS beam. It seems to be running backwards.. that or it's at the wrong end of the runway
EDIT: OK.. the 'wrong looking' beam is the localiser for 21L.. the GS for 03R is further up to the right. The localiser for 03R is at the top of the runway off screen. They're listed as stock so should work. I'll have a quick look
I went and had a look at the stock LGAV and I swear the ILS didn't work on 21L/03R when I first tried (111.10Mhz) though 21R/03L did (110.50Mhz). I came back here to confirm which runway you were having problems with then went and had another look and blow me down.. 21L/03R worked first time Could have been finger trouble first time round but I'm sure I had 111.10 set.

A little more work. I noticed that the exclude areas in the BGL overlay the faulty ILS but not the other. I've moved the excludes back to the bottom layer of the ADE files and recompiled the airport. The problem now seems to have been solved. Hurrah for ADE! I'll share my findings with the developer.
I presumed (always dangerous) that as default ILS had been used, the author had left a hole for them all but the thought that he hadn't did cross my mind. I've never moved an exclude in my life so I'd not know where to begin
Well, a first time for me too! ADE is a bit like some photo editing packages in the way it handles layers. I don't think I'd have gone much further though if that hadn't worked!
