Duh, what a gotcha ...

You said 15 and I assumed you meant J-15 rather than MiG-15, for I have no interest in those early MiGs at all. Oh well, perhaps your note will help someone else - thanks for the thought anyway.

Ro

You won't want to be seeing these then..

.. and someone doing off with the engine!

The J15 comes with the Su33 and Chinese (ex-Russian) carrier which is what swayed me in the end. I was actually going to get the J-11B which comes with additional J-11A and Su-27 models. I may still get the 11B/Su27 but it'll wait until the next sale ;) As the Su30 moves toward navalisation.. it will be my next Russian acquisition :cpu:

Dave : it means " Do you know Russian " and along with other useless phrases such as " the telephone is ringing" etc is about all I can remember . A shame really, because it is quite a beautiful language, but it is now 56 years ago that i last learned it !

Ahh.. it seems obvious now you've said what it is Chris

I've always thought it a very masculine language but I guess the same could be said for many others. Distant images of Soviet ladies Olympic squads have tended to enforce it

Great pic, Dave.

Speaking of les avions de Russia, does any one else have DCS, and specifically the Mig-15bis ? If not, and if you are thinking about starting out in DCS, then think no more - just do it. The Mig is absolutely fabulous, maybe the best combat aircraft I've ever flown in a flight simulator. And you can buy the equally wonderful F-86 too, to go up against it.

Sorry for the slow response Dave.
Can you do "the cobra strike" in your SU-33?
A video clip would be nice.

Apparently Russia has called Australia "unfriendly" because 'we' didn't give visas to all their applicants to attend a conference in sunny Queensland.

You can't please the Aussies all the time either...
Animal rights people aren't happy about the way some Indonesian abbatoirs kill Australian cattle.
Indonesia only wants to kill 50,000 of our cattle instead of 250,000, and our farmers aren't happy.
Some news outlets are saying that it's because PM Abbott, or is it Abbot? :dunno: protested about Indonesia executing two Australian drug smugglers.

Just wait till we get those new F-35s......
"It's arguably the most expensive and technically complex piece of headgear ever produced and before any Royal Australian Air Force pilot steps into the cockpit of the new F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) jet, they will need to be fitted with a custom-made $770,000 flight helmet.

With the Australian government committed to purchasing 72 of the controversial fighters at a cost of $12.4 billion, the bill for these smart helmets alone could exceed $55 million."

*-) On second thoughts, I don't think 'we' can afford to fill up the F-35 fuel tanks.

Well, no wonder they're aiming to take a close look at us b****y pensioners!

What did Alex say about me rambling?

You ramble on mate

The Su-33 should be able to do the Cobra.. I know the BS Su-27 can (as can the Su-30). You have to switch something off.. I'll have to have a read. TBH.. the only thing I've switched on are the lights and I didn't like them so changed them for some of DG's
