JF Tornado on Pre-Order!

Re: JF Tornado on Pre-Order!
Though I won't be getting it - sad news about the Tornado. I daresay the lights will be on long into the night, and I hope they get it sorted because I'd like JF to be successful. Who knows what other types they may bring us ( coughShackletonMR2cough). By the way, I've never had a moment's problem with their Canberra PR9. One of the best MSFS military aircraft I've ever bought, and sweet FPS at all times.

Re: JF Tornado on Pre-Order!
Likewise Paul
I still think the Canberra is 'overly' heavy when you compare it to the likes of the MilViz F15 or M2M Mirage but outside the initial problems (and it DID have some).. I've been able to run it ok. The Tonka is a completely different monster though
My rig exceeds the system req by 4gig so I wouldn't expect it to run like the default Cessna but that said.. the system req is woefully inaccurate if this is the best that can be achieved. I'm sad though not completely surprised. Imagine how those folk running O/C'd i7's feel!
Fingers crossed they'll rustle something up in the not too distant. Until then.. the GR1 has to remain grounded.

Dave in Prepar3d its below 10FPS in VC that's on a O/C i7 at 4.3 with 16GB RAM and 4GB 770GTX. Doing some testing tonight with the FSUIPC assignments as I'd really like to have my assignments through FSUIPC so I can have specific aircraft profiles where required.

Re: JF Tornado on Pre-Order!
Hi Chris
It seems you and I are getting very similar performance and that shouldn't be. I can't blame FSUIPC assignments as I don't have any.
Still a bit miffed that the pre-rel version seems to have run fine yet the release version runs like a dog. To be on the safe side with stuff like this.. I'd have thought it prudent for the beta team to have access to the Gold/release version some days before release just to be 100% certain that the product is fit to go. That said.. Gary Summons doesn't do this with UK2K scenery either and things DO crop up in the release versions that weren't there in the final betas. Glad I'm not on JF customer support at this moment in time

Re: JF Tornado on Pre-Order!
A quick HU..
There's a hotfix out at JF designed to address some of the FR issues. I've tried it and it does make a difference but the old girl is still heavy on FR's. I've since unlocked my FR's and performance has increased at the expense of micro-stutters. Still.. it's now better than it was and flyable

Re: JF Tornado on Pre-Order!
Applied hotfix, now I can fully enjoy the CTD experience! It will not load despite all my efforts. I was getting frame rates in the 40+ region before the hotfix and I know it is not the PC.

Re: JF Tornado on Pre-Order!
The hotfix causes CTD for me too in P3d. Reverted to non-hotfix version.
Not seeing 40+ fps, but it's not too bad, around 30 in external view and low 20s in VC.

Re: JF Tornado on Pre-Order!
Unistalled and then reinstalled without hotfix and all is well again.
