I spent all but 95 points on the Mirage and that was points very well spent (1200)

The SSW version... I dunno. TP enabled does nowt for me as I don't have it (though I very nearly did recently!!) and the JF model will be TP'd IDC according to the blurb.. FOC too unlike some devs who charge a handsome premium for such niceties. I wouldn't go down the SSW route unless forced due to the complication of the purchasing process. OK.. I have an account now but when I first tried, I never got activation details (you have to have an account with them to purchase, Roger) but what I DID get was an influx of spam (which I still get incidentally). By chance.. one of the SSW team saw my comment at SoH and activated the account within mins towit I duly purchased the F104G in one of their many sales. I have to say I'm happy with the Zipper and flew it only a few mins ago as it happens. It is way above any version released to date and is a challenge to fly.. not difficult but a challenge. It is NOT, however, as polished as say something from Milviz.. not by a long way IMHO. I can't speak for the other SSW models as I only have the 104. The SSW104 is good on FR's and there's no reason to think their Tonka will be different. I can't say the same for the JF Tonka as even after the latest 'fix' for the Canberra.. the panel still takes time to load. The main advantage of the fix is it now shows black rather than pink as it did before!! As mentioned above.. it's also heavy on resources and I fear their Tonka will be similarly weighty.

It'll be interesting to see how they both arrive :cpu:

TBH, I don't have any first hand experience of SSW models, but they do seem to be held in fairly high regard by those that do.
My comment was based on the attitude of the devs in various posts made. There may have been something lost in translation, but IMHO they didn't come across as people I want to do business with.
I'd rather support the "home" team anyway.

No, can't buy in any case - I've already just got one weather related aircraft. There's a rule (somewhere) that states that one can only buy one aircraft with a weather related name in any one month. Mind you there's only a few days left until the next month!

Worries me slightly when I see a set release date like that. Will it be released ready or not? *-)

It'll be released but whether it's ready is another matter.

I'm somewhat disappointed that the JF website has separate pages for the GR.1 and the German special repaints pack, but there's no other indication of what will happen when the GR.1 is released - will the German pack still be available as a separate product ? I'm interested in the GR.1 (would have preferred a GR.4) but very interested in the German pack. Though I do like the RAF repaints included in the base pack anyway ...
