Does your name have an aviation connection ?
My middle name is Victor, so I have a link to the V-bomber. I wonder if we have a member by the name of Mitchell, Chadwick or Kindelberger. Is there a Fred Stansted or Arthur Prestwick in the forum ? We might even have a Gary Guppy, Sam Sperrin or Peter Pitot.
So, is your name linked to anything aviation related ? No matter if it's tenuous . I can think of at least one person here who's got a link, but I'll let him speak for himself.

Re: Does your name have an aviation connection ?
I'm the third generation of our family to be involved in Aviation. My grandfather on my maternal side (distaff?) worked as a chippie at Martynsyde in Woking,
My father & his younger brother both served apprenticeships at Vickers at Weybridge. Both became pilots & licensed engineers & air raced their aircraft in the 50's. The younger brother became MD of Derby Aviation, which became BMA.
My fathers other brother served in coastal command as a Navigator gaining a DFC & bar in WW2, & their sister was a WAAF at Uxbridge. I also served an apprenticeship at Weybridge & became a Design draughtsman on TSR2 & thanks to Vickers I gained my pilots license in 1958.
My son joined the RAF & became an electronics wizard!
I guess born with a feather or two in my mouth? Pity about the silver spoon though!

A bit tenuous, but my middle name is Murray....there was a Murray Shackleton aircraft I believe, & my daughter is married to a Chadwick! But both of those are a coincidence from your requirement!Paul K wrote:Er..yes, but does your name have an aviation connection, Keith ? For example, is your surname Beaufighter .... P.S.
Is there still a Paine field in the USA? Possibly named after Thomas, but he was no relation as far as I can trace!
