How do I switch on the CS B-52 terrain radar display ?

I haven't flown this thing in 18 months , and I'm damned if I can remember how to turn the VDU displays on. I can see the controls on the co-pilot's side of the centre console, but I can't find any on/off switch. Tried the CS forums, but all the answers there refer to pictures which I'm forbidden from seeing ( even though I am logged in to the forum ).

Anybody ?

Hi Dave, I've now found the radar 'On' switch on the copilot's instrument panel, but clicking on it crashes the sim. Don't trouble yourself mate - I only tried the plane again in order to see what Jankees new repaint was like.

It was nice to see the model again after all this time

The bit you're after is the EVS control panel. As you've found, there's one on the co-pilots side AND one on the Pilots side below the clock. Again.. as you've found.. the power switch is on the bottom line. I admit I had to resort to the manual. I clicked everything except that button

It didn't crash the sim for me (FSX). You playing in P3D?

EDIT: I was going to resurrect the model for Jan's new paint too so this has brought the evolution forward a bit

Hi Dave - I'm in P3D V2.4, so the problem must lie there. Thanks for taking time to look, much appreciated. I think this is the first FSX aircraft I've had problems with in P3DV2, and looking at the forum, I'm not the only person. I don't think there's much point in me pursuing the matter as I'm about to start uninstalling everything for the change over to P3D V2.5. As you can imagine, with all the aircraft, scenery and airport add-ons I have, I'm thrilled to bits at the prospect.

Anyway, once Ive got everything back up and running, I'll give the CS Buff another stab. Jankees new repaint, of this B-52 thats been returned to service from the desert boneyard at Davis Monthan, is very nice indeed.

I'm sure DG has the Buff. Perhaps he can have a quickie to see if it kills his P3D too. Think he's on 2.5 now

Have you got the Duxford Buff paint?

Dave B...Yep, got the Duxford B-52 repaint, but I suppose its a bit academic now. I think I'll have a go at running the Iris Vulcan in v2.5, though - Dave G, have you tried it, or don't you own the Iris model ?
