Aerosoft F14
Just a heads-up, Aerosoft have released their F14A/B for FSX (Tacpack compatible if you have it) and P3d.
Here
35 Euros, around 28 quid in real money. Well worth it I think.

£28 is a remarkably low price considering the work that's gone into it and a beautifully modeled carrier thrown in too. However, I'm going to hold back ( arf ! ) and see if any P3DV2 problems emerge - give it a couple of weeks or so. It might be the last add-on purchase of 2014 or the first of 2015.

Indeed.. I'm holding off too.. not least of all because I've already spent my quota (and beyond) of late
My rebuild of FSX after a reinstall of Win7 isn't the sparkling success I'd hoped for and may ultimately end in yet another rebuild as performance isn't as expected. To be honest.. the carrier appeals to me but I really don't need another Tomcat OR TacPac to make all the goodies work. It's an impressive package and no mistakin but not for me at the moment

Yes, got it as soon as it came out
Very pleased with it so far, although there's lots I still haven't tried out. Flown in both P3d and FSX with Tacpack.
There's a few bugs appearing on the forums. Mostly P3d related, but doesn't seem to be anything serious and I'm sure they'll be fixed.
Oh for a P3d version of Tacpack.

Only if it comes with the AS F14 attached
Seriously.. not sure about an RN 'What If'. Some aircraft 'belong' (or look like they do) but the F-14..

Well.. that would be more feasible I think
Gonna do one for Dino's model too??
No.. I don't think I'd ever use it anyway

Re: Aerosoft F14
Well, I've read that the F-14 was briefly examined as a possible replacement for the LIghtning and Phantom in RAF service, but it was considered too expensive. However I think a 1980's grey/green all-over camo scheme and some RAF squadron insignia would look great on the Tomcat.
I think I will be getting this aircraft, though its complexity is rather daunting. Its just too beautiful an aircraft to resist, and I like the fact that you can use other carrier planes on the Kitty Hawk.
