There's rarely a time when REX
isn't in a sale
somewhere . It's also in the current FSPS sale and users of REX E + OD get a further $5 reduction.. or something like that

I'm tempted myself but what advantage it would have over E+OD I really couldn't say. There's only so much blurb I'm willing to accept these days
Bottom line.. I only use REX for sea and cloud textures anyway. The million and one other things it can do, I don't want

I just load the textures I like, and from then on, click "fly"
