OFMC/Breitling Fighters..

Post by DaveB »

Fresh on the heels of Paul's recent post, here's a handful of shots taken this morning of my latest acquisition.. the Warbirdsim P51-D (Pack1) 'Ferocious Frankie' with some old friends..

It's difficult to describe how happy I am with the WBS models. Perhaps they could be considered a bit pricey (Pack1 was £24.99) but with each model being a faithful reproduction of it's real counterpart, I think it's money well spent. I'll be getting more
I really need to sort the Corsair out so that it leaves it's drop tanks at home and turns it's darned LL off!  I may also add the BF logos to these in the fullness of time.. we'll see ;)

Cheers Dave ;)

Do you happen to know if there's a Gunfighter (CY-U) repaint for it? I've found one for the A2A model but thus far, drawn a blank for the WBS model :( Don't tell me I have to get the brushes out :wall:

Not sure Dave. I assume you've tried all the usual places?
BTW, if you want the paint kit, you have to ask WBS for it.

Hiya Dave :hello:

Yes.. I've looked in the usual places and probably some unusual places too  Re the PK.. having just spent a good 20mins looking, I presumed it was supplied 'on request' ;) There's a very similar paint to Gunfighter in one of the packs.. a reg change and change of nose art would suffice plus some small bits and bobs. I fear my bank balance will soon be depressed yet further!

Meant to ask, where did you get the P-40 paint from, and is it for the Iris freeware model?

You're welcome

There's another one available which represents the old TFC P40 (or thereabouts). Filename is P40EAT.zip (Aleutian Tiger) by John Detrick. Again.. can't remember exactly where I got it from but it's likely to be the Outhouse. If you want that one too.. give me a shout. I'll post a pic ;)

EDIT:
Hmm.. this isn't what I was expecting but it IS the file above..
