Glad I didn't buy the 'Virtavia' version.. it would have been a complete waste of money and I've done quite enough of that recently thank you! 8)

Well, I've had an hour or so struggling manfully with the Razbam A-6, and I don't think I'd be far wrong in saying it's a ' hands-on' aircraft'. The only way I can stop it ascending or descending is to land the bloody thing and switch the engines off. 8)

I think Virtavia has done a superb job with bringing the forgotten Lincoln into the FS world! Which other FS developer would have made this aircraft? Probably none.

I my view the Lincoln looks much better proportioned than the "short and stubby" Lancaster. Even if I have to agree the bomb aimers nose glazing is rather ugly. Apparently it was made that way on the request of RAF and Bomber Command as the never liked the prone position in the Lancaster and the curved dome. I have read that the new nose was first tested on a Lancaster and the result was an increase in speed!

I could of course not stay away from the paint can, so here are some shots of reworked textures with a lot of details added ( stencils and other decals etc)

Lincoln B.II SX991 of the Radar Recce Flight, 1951. This aircraft conducted several very sensitive flights in the early 50's around the borders of Soviet and Warsaw pack countries to take radar pictures of scenery features for attack planning for the V-Force.

For those of you who wants to test the new Lincoln texture pack, a beta release is available in the SoH thread.

I'm making KM-C of No 44 (Rhodesia) sqn right now in the white/black "Tiger Force" scheme it had in 45-46. Do any of you have any information about which colour the stencils would have had on this scheme? It was yellow on the later schemes, but I don't have any pictures showing it on the Tiger Force scheme. Since yellow is difficult to see on white, I'm thinking maybe it was in red. Or they had no stencils at all... Any thoughts?

Jens, I've looked for some colour pictures of Tiger Force Lincolns, to no avail unfortunately. However, there were Lancasters painted in that scheme ready to go to the Pacific, and no doubt their stencil colouring was the same as the Lincolns. At the end of the war, a squadron of Tiger Force Lancasters did a tour of the USA, and I've seen some film of it, though I think it was in black and white. There might be colour photos of that tour somewhere. Also, what colour was Coastal Command stenciling ? They had white fuselages - maybe things were kept the same.

I'm running it in P3Dv2.4. I installed it using the Estonia Migration Tool - no problems at all. :)
