The view from the cockpit consists of a HUD. Definitely 'no-frills' flying.

Should be good on FR's then Oh, hang on.. it's usually the Iris HUD's that drag FR's down

It's funny what rubs people up the wrong way. I had to laugh at Dave on SOH getting annoyed at boats instead of ships. Simple things amuse me.

I saw the boats/ships post, too. From the way I've heard it...if a boat is large enough to carry another boat, then it's a ship. Now why the Navy refers to stairs/steps as ladders is anybody's guess. To me they're just really steep steps with the added fun of hitting your head or shoulders on a big steel hatch when you near the top.
