Well to be honest, Paul, the MiG-21 Lancer is one of the most produced fighter aircraft and is in service with loads of countries around the world - and has been with some for decades (probably not the bis model, but not enough info on specific variants) so you could pitch pretty much anything against it and have a probably accurate match.

Although I've not heard of terrain coming for it, with some of the British aircraft planned (Vampire, Meteor), you could probably make up an India-Pakistan scenario, too. (Dave needs to finish his Hunter! ) In fact, the last two confirmed kills for Mig-21bis pilots in that 'trouble spot' were in 1997 and 1999!

Definitely pretty much any Middle-East scenario would be reasonable, too. Most of the Arab nations have the Lancer, and, for example, Israel had the F-15 (you get the F-15C in Flaming Cliffs, and a full DCS level model is under development now). They also had the Skyhawk - and the A-4C & M are also being developed.

Of course, Vietnam is the major one for most US 'pilots'. We don't as yet know if anything is planned for that theatre, but a scenario could be made up again, including aircraft such as the Skyhawk and F-100D (in development as freeware).

So several possibilities, if all goes to plan.

It's worth having a look at the MiG-21 wiki:

Plenty of scope there!

VEAO now claim to have fixed the bug that was (supposedly) stopping them from releasing the Hawk T1 and now they say they are putting it out to their testers.

So not sure it's fixed after all then?

Personally, I've had enough of these guys - not only their repeated delays, always with excuses that never sound convincing, and their attitude.

I've gone from a day1 customer to one who will have a look and think about it, if it ever goes on sale at reduced price. It's not as if there's nothing else to fly.
