After a long absence from simming and after selling all my bits and bobs , I need help on a decision please. FSX or LM prepare or whatever it's called ? Which one to buy ?
Over to you
Tony
The last surviving and complete Vickers Vanguard....."Superb"
I'd go for P3d Tony if you've got the hardware for it. You'll need a decent GPU and an OS that supports DX11 (Win7 or 8 )
There are still bugs / issues, but so has FSX and at least it is being developed. V2.4 is in beta testing at the moment.
The majority of FSX aircraft and sceneries work OK, although there is no guarantee they will continue to do so with future versions.
FS9 aircraft mostly display and work fine, but VC's are not clickable.
P3d has a 60 day refund policy as well. Of course their EULA prohibits the use for "personal consumer entertainment", so you can use it, just don't enjoy it.
I don't know how 'fast' current AMD cpu are compared to Intel (I switched when the Core2Duo series came out) but an important factor will be how much VRAM you have on that %&)?
I used a 560ti originally, which was plenty fast enough, but the 1GB made things frustrating. My current 2GB is far better, but 4GB would be ideal.
