Leonides engine sounds for Percival Provost
We (the Tangmere Military Aviation Museum) will soon be taking delivery of a Percival Provost cockpit which will be used as an 'open cockpit' for visitors. I've been asked to look at the possibility of also using it as the basis for a flight simulator or, if not, installing a Provost on our general flight simulators which allow visitors to 'fly' many of the aircraft on display at the museum or associated with Tangmere.
To this end I've downloaded Keith Paine's Provost but, because of the absence of Britsim, I've been unable to get hold of the recommended engine sounds - Gary Jones's 'Single Leonides'. Despite much Google-ing I've been unable to find an alternative source for this file - anyone here able to help?
Pete.

I'm sure someone here will have it Pete. Do you have the filename off hand?

No, I'm afraid not, Dave. All that's in the readme file that came with the Provost is:
"For a much, much better sound, download Gary Jones Single Leonides sound file available at: http://www.britsim.com/index.php?option ... fo&id=1991"
Presumably the '1991' was the Britsim id.

Hi Pete
I have Gary Jones' Twin Alvis Leonides sound file, for Fs9 and FSX. "Suitable for Pembroke and Twin Pioneer."
I'll load it onto Airspeed's Flying Visit web site.
It will be zipped and located on the Flight Sim Downloads page.

OK Pete,
It's up there now, just tested it.
Link is the little blue icon next to PM under the avatar, far right.

Well done that man
I thought I'd just found it but it turned out to be his Single_Pegasus sound instead

Re: Leonides engine sounds for Percival Provost
Thanks, Mike - got it. Much appreciated. Not only do you listen to my radio programmes but you provide me with software too - a true gent!
Any sound.cfg experts here? I'm wondering if I change the entry 'number_of-engines=2' to 'number of engines=1' and remove all references to, say, the left engine, whether I'll get the required single Leonides effect I need?
Best
Pete
PS this is what it's all for -
Still some work to do on the outside...

...but the inside is pristine.

That looks great Pete. I have room on my back yard should you ever get rid of it
I'm not sure about the sounds.. not my area of expertise.. not that I have 'an area of expertise' anyway

Re: Leonides engine sounds for Percival Provost
It seems that I have both the single and twin engine sound files in my library. I'll take a look at the differences tomorrow and let you know what they are ... if they're small enough I'll post here, otherwise I can email the .cfg files if you let me know your address by PM (unless it's on your website),
