RAF Abingdon...

Post by SamRo »

I paid nearly £8 witch is not a great outlay for this from Flightsim store...
Its the only Abingdon I can find :-(, Now it seems to all be in about the right place but does not work with the photo real scenery I have [horizon] and I get an object collision when I get any where near it so have to fly with damage turned off...
Make of this what you will..

This one seems to have passed me by.. I've been waiting for an Abingdon of any description for ages!

As for running into invisible objects.. it is not alone. You get this at both Earthsimulations Alderney (in the harbour area) and at ES Isle of Man.. again in the harbour area. Most annoying.. especially as both these have been out for a long time (years as far as Alderney is concerned) and no fix has been released :|

Let me go and have a look for this one.

EDIT: I thought this was going to be by Team SDB as their scenery isn't compatible with GenX (or variations there of) but I see it's by Steve Anderson of RAF Airfields. This has been on his 'to do' list for years. I thought he'd packed in to be honest with you. Surprised it's only for default scenery (although he's at pains to say there are no default buildings in it).

Does this not drop into the 'dark side' of FSX ? --->

Hi Gents,
I know Steve and have been working with him on his new stuff which is w.i.p.
I cannot answer for the work that he has done in the past and he would love to help with any problems that you have, but unfortunately he was banned from this website a while back. :-(
Steve.

You seem to know what you're doing Sam. Could you not put a flatten over the spiky bits.. not that you should have to of course. There is a support email address for Steve at RAF Airfields.. perhaps giving him a prod will yield what you need ;)

I would not go as far as to say "I know what im doing" lol, but I have managed to get a working base free of auto gen and flat :-), I would like to put Steve's buildings back but they cause the object crash.. I will e-mail him.
Cheers Dave.
