Are you aware of the Mitsubishi F2A freeware model? It's quite nice. I can't remember what the cockpit looks like, but I do remember I enjoyed flying it, and it looks very nice externally.
Unfortunately, I just looked in my archive hangar, and it doesn't state anywhere who made it.
Found this:

There's also a couple of YT videos demonstrating it.

That's not a bad looking model John. Pity about the amount of reflection coming off the main gear but from what I've seen.. they ALL have faults (by they, I mean the Iris and AS models)
That cockpit didn't float my boat mind you.. definitely one to keep glued to the HUD or stay outside

I remember that one. Team FS KBT. I've got the website link, but it seems to be down.
The model was an FS9 one I think. Was very heavy on the frames back then, but may be OK on todays hardware.
edit. found it on Simviation http://simviation.com/fsxmilitary24.htm

I just happened across a database on my old laptop, in which I had entered brief notes about the models I had at that time, and the F-2A is included.
Apparently, there was an issue with the textures at night. Don't remember what they were, but I suppose if you don't fly at night it doesn't matter.
