Modifying VORs in FSX

Post by ajb »

Hi,

I've just noticed that when navigating to the Inverness (INS) VOR it's range has been shortened from 200nm to around 25nm. I'm guessing that Scotflight for FSX may be the culprit but I'm not sure. In FS9 I used AFCAD to modify nav aids but what software is available in FSX?

Regards

I hate FSX VORs (or NDBs if you like) with a passion!

I'm currently attempting to start a 319 flight VOR tour of the UK in FSX, but either the beacons or the systems modelling is really tat most of the time. Unfortunately, it's not always easy to tell which is the culprit, so switching to another aircraft doesn't always help, but can result in yet another 45 minutes wasted time (and frustration).

Shame, really, I've been looking forward to, and planning, this project for over a year :(

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the link. I knew someone on here would know how to solve the problem.

Just been on there for the first time in a long while. Are they still going?

I ask because the airport scanner file linked to has been removed from Mediafire and the "Contact Us" form on the ADE site has been disabled.

ADE are definitely still going, I think the link might be to the old site though. I seem to remember Jon sending a new link round. I'll try and find it in the morning. ;)
