Nicely made model. FD is typical for the type.. throttle/mixture.. no trim. Open the throttle and you climb.. pull the throttle back and you descend :) I took the little JF Sopwith Pup along for a bit of company. Good job too because I had to land in a field after breaking the engine!

Looks very nice, but I'm not sure there's enough to it, to hold my attention. I think the Tiger Moth and the Cub are about as basic as I want to go, at least in a civilian flight sim anyway. Rise of Flight is different.

It'll be interesting to see what repaints come along for the 504. I might change my mind then.

Yes Paul.. there isn't a great deal of immersion involved with this little tinker. I believe there's a drop down panel for basic 'effects'.. wheel chocks.. that sort of thing. Must have a look next time I take it for a spin :)
It will be nice to see additional paints for it. I was very disappointed with the lack of repaints for their Anson.. UK registrations that is. There are a few Kiwi paints but they don't really work for our sphere of operation :( The 504K paint above is of the Shuttleworth example.. I think you get another 3. No sign of a PK for it but AF don't generally release PK's until after the model has been out for a while so fingers crossed. ;) The manual comes as a separate download so I'm off to get that in a min or so.. I've already belted my bandwidth for today and in 5mins, I'm free again

EDIT: The blurb on the sales page says the PK is available on the forums.. it't not.. yet  However, there IS a pack of 5 extra paints not included in the installer to keep the download size small.. http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtop ... 18&t=41611

Well, I caved in and picked up the 504K myself last night, :fly:

Very nice and challenging in its own small way :agree:

I'm wondering Dave, since you've got the 504K as well, is your turn and slip gauge working?, Mines isn't. Odd thing though the manual doesn't list it in the instruments list, but theres something on the dash that represents it, unless its just a mount for one but the gauge is not installed... *-)

Hiya Gordon :hello:

Glad you like what you've seen of the 504K thus far.. with the exception of the T&S of course. :worried: Are you seeing any movement from the ball at all? Mine does move but it's operation is a little erratic and without any form of calibration index, it's not easy to see how accurate your turn is.. not that I've tried doing a 2min turn with it

EDIT: I think it does work y'know.. well, as well as one of these things would have worked. It's not really a T&S is it as there's no turn component.. it's a skid/slip indicator (my bad). On a skid turn.. the ball should go toward the upper wing (you can try this by turning using only the rudder) and on a slip turn.. the ball should go toward the lower wing which it does.. for a while anyway  With a correctly executed turn.. the ball will sit in the middle but I agree.. the models gauge seems to sit in this position most of the time or.. any movement is so slight it's difficult to see if you're skidding or slipping. For what it is.. it's ok I guess :)
