ScillonianIII SAR

Post by DaveB »

The Captain of Scillonian III has kindly agreed to take part 2 days of SAR exercises with the rescue services..

Yesterday, with the RAF Bell412

.. and today, with the UH60

His agreement was on the understanding that he didn't have to slow the ship at all and he's snorting along at 20kts in both shots. I actually took better shots but ended up with these two  It's good fun and good practice flying the helo's. I flew in close company with the Rapide from St Just on the way over.. something easier said than done. No shots mind so you'll have to take my word for it

Bell 412 and UH60 by Cerasim.. Scillonian III by Dave Garwood (it's much better than the one that comes with ES IoS)

That's about right! I have been trying to decide whther to upload a photo the last couple of weeks, of the helicopter in your first screenshot, to ask if there was a paint available for it.

I may even have it - I've got so much stuff spread about over several hard drives, I really ought to sort my "room" out! *-)

Like the Sea Hawk one, though. Definitely don't have that paint.

I like that RAF UH60. It looks very authentic in the SAR colour scheme. :)

If I flew a helicopter that close to a ship, I would need the SAR.
