Into the blue..

A quick set of (similar) shots showing DG's lovely Mossie in 540Sqn PRU-Benson and the RA Spit BF273 from the High Altitude Squadron..

I think PRU blue is such a lovely colour. I may get around to painting the JF Hurricane in a similar scheme at some point :worried:  They were just short of FL280 in the last shot.

Nice.

Seems like they learned how to switch the engines on, too!

You may titter..

I actually started this in the Spit with the Mossie picked as AI but like the Dove and Heron, it has a very slow prop rotation when used as AI with AirTrafficFX. Knowing the Spit works fine, I reset the situation so no more gliders

Lovely to look at Dave, colourwise and choice of aircraft. :agree:

Was the pink PRU for a different altititude, or maybe that was later/earlier? Too lazy to look it up right now.

Hi Mike :hello:

If memory serves me right.. the Pink scheme was used in the desert and was particularly difficult to see around sunrise/sunset. Could be wrong though and it wouldn't be for the first time

I was pretty certain that was the reason for it. Funny how you remember some things yet I can barely remember what I did last week 8)

Cheers Paul :)

I didn't realise quite how similar they were until I had all 4 stacked up in Photoshop.. they all seemed so different when I snapped them

I must make an effort to do the PRU (JF/AH) Hurricane which always gets left out.. the glory going to the Spit (as per).
