The worlds slowest display team?

Post by DaveB »

That little traffic prog DG highlighted in his 'Faireys' thread is fun now I've got it working  Some of the models 'shake' a little around their tails but this could have been due to the high speed nature of the formation.. 55kts

To the right.. DG's Auster

To the left.. the FSAddon Storch

Oh.. and in the middle, the FR L4 Grasshopper ;)

Anyone who has seen the L2 and Storch do a display at Duxford within the confines of the airfield (airside) cannot fail to be impressed by the low-speed characteristics of these aircraft nor indeed of the pilots who display them. Doing this little display at Lands End was a lot of fun and gave a 'flavour' of the real thing.. for me at least (I know I have an over-active imagination) The program isn't cheap at a smidge over £15 though I guess it's not that expensive either. Thing is.. you don't have to set up complex AI flights anymore. Just add what you want (then hit the right buttons) and you're not alone ;)

Ah yes John.. and with only one of the team using fossil fuel, it's probably greener too

That's great. Loved the Penalty Shoot-out

I don't know of a Queen Bee or Piel Emeraude but the others are out there

Yeah even though the Queen Bee is a Tiger Moth varient/derirative... Saw them at East Kirkby Airshow last year, they was much more fun to watch than some displays ive seen. Shame some of those aircraft are FS9 models...

I've just suffered my first casualties of this.. my first and probably last airshow season

All went well to begin with..

We started as 5.. and came back as 3 :poke: It was unfortunate that 1 of the poor souls who perished was in ALWB.. the only correct reg among this motley crew (JF Chippie).. the other 2 miss the boat home was the ACG AI Tiggie I used vice the Queen Bee. Two formation loops lost one then the other  However.. the little Turbulent stuck to me like something on a blanket and DaveM's Jackaroo wasn't far behind. I'll know who to leave out next time
