I think it's quite a nifty little program, although it does have a few oddities. Biggest issue for me is any aircraft added in formation with you will have all their exterior lights on. Not great if trying to simulate a night mission over enemy territory.

I have Dave's Fulmar but don't have that Firefly. Talking of which.. I wonder how the Flying Stations model is coming on. Had a look at the thread a few days ago and nothing now posted for ages *-)

Bit of progress for you Dave! P3D only at the moment as the new exporter isn't backwards compatible with FSX.

Cheers Skip

No intention of moving up a level just yet but any progress on a new model is always good news

Don't worry Dave, it will go into FSX as well I'll just have to swap the setting round and export a separate MDL.

I've just bought that prog and thus far.. I'm not seeing any other aircraft. It's probably me being impatient by not reading the manual correctly but still.. I'm more than a little miffed :|

Are you trying to add a formation Dave?
Make sure you point the prog to the simobjects/airplanes folder. When you set that, you'll need to close the prog (not FSX) and restart it or it won't load the aircraft properly.

Hiya Dave :hello:

It didn't see that folder the first time it was opened so I directed it to it. Nothing showed.. I lost patience and came out of the sim. Had another read of the manual and as far as I can tell.. you don't need the radar screen so I've not bothered looking at it. All I want to do is add a single aircraft to my free flight. It says the best way to do this is when you're in the air. There is no 'planned flight'.. just a free flight. I thought it would add a bit more to FSX rather than flying alone. So far.. I'm still Billy NoMates :dunno:

EDIT: I've got it Dave. Didn't understand the send air traffic to FSX function. I now have my wingman

When you start AirtrafficFX, click on the "Add Traffic" tab. You should see a list of aircraft. If not, click the "browse for airplane folder" button and point it to the correct folder. There should now be a list of aircraft, but you can't use them until you shut down ATFX and restart it. 8)
Select an aircraft and click "Add selected aircraft to formation". Repeat if you want more aircraft in the formation. Make sure the "add selected formation to users flight" button is checked, then press "Send air traffic to fsx with options selected" button.

edit: doh, too slow
Glad you got it working Dave.
