A random shot from today..

Post by DaveB »

Hi Chaps :)

I have a number of warships patrolling the south coast (thanks to Mr W) and have taken to making different versions of one of his originals. Victorious(60), Intrepid (or is it Fearless?) and Glamorgan transit down the north sea, English Channel and up the west coast to Scotland (this file remains unchanged) and he made one for me with Ark Royal IV, Fearless (or was it Intrepid?) and Glamorgan patrolling between Falmouth Bay and just short of Portland. This one, I have a couple of versions of.. this being one. Victorious (representing one of the 'Lost Implacables'.. late war Victorious with a different pennant number) plus one of the Flying Stations Daring Class destroyers (out of shot) and one of the default tankers. I use this set for flying 'old stuff' onto :) The SBD Dauntless is American and didn't serve with the RN.. I hear you say. Well it did though not with front line squadrons. Our American cousins gave us 9 for evaluation and I will at some point, get around to doing a representative paint when I can get decent enough data and I've delved into the PK but for now.. here's one with American markings..

I would much prefer there to be an RN paint readily available but somehow.. WE have been missed :|

EDIT: I did paint out that circle on the default tanker and put RAME HEAD on the stern for my Portsmouth scenery. Must drag the textures off my XP machine ;) SBD is Vertigo Studios model by the way :cpu:
