DeskTop PC

Post by dodger »

Hi Gents,

Yup it's me again!!

I have a 2yr old PC but it may be better to buy a new one rather than upgrade it,

So what am i looking for that would run FSX for under £400 or so, nVidia card/ W7 /etc, no keyboard /mouse or Monitor,

My current system is a Pentium Dual Core [email protected], 3.50 GB Ram, Ati 5450 with W XP, and looking around the net it's confusing to say the least at to what will do me, so if some kind soul can give me some idea i would appreciate it.

Thanks,

Roger.

If you find one at that price, that will run FSX well, I'll have one myself.

I know people who have bought new PC's at plus £1,000 on that price, and they still aren't completely satisfied with the performance!

I spent £1900 late last year and I am still tweeking it for P3Dv2. You do get what you pay for, I would never buy from the likes of PC World.

Here's another (not so) sweet deal, although used er, factory refurbished, its only 479.99
Processor: AMD A10-6700 (3.7GHz) Up to 4.3GHz Turbo
Processor Core: Quad-Core
Memory: 12GB DDR3 (PC3-12800)
Max Memory: 32GB
Memory Slots: 4
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 8670D
Hard Drive: 2TB SATA (7200rpm)
Optical Drive: SuperMulti DVD±RW
Audio Codec: Integrated IDT 92HD73E
Sound: Built-in 7.1-Channel Audio
Network: 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet
Wireless: 802.11b/g/n
Bluetooth: v4.0
It's AMD+Radeon combo. I prefer Intel boxes but a lot of people swear by the Sunnyvale company also!

Roger, you've probably seen mention of this company before in here:

You can configure, mix and match as you wish, and give them a call if you need advice while doing so. My computer came from them, and the next one will too. :)
