No. you're not, Dave,
That read kept a smile on my face - see, it's still there -
Isn't it strange, how we and the pet click together like that?

[All babies are designed to appeal to adults, they just look so cute, and I've seen so many examples of different species caring for others' young.
Our female Jack Russell cross took the two new male kittens under her wing; she cleans them and rushes to help if she hears them in trouble.
On the internet, there are videos and photos of the most stunning cross-species alliances.]

Despite that generic appeal, we do know which one is right for us to care for on a permanent basis. Something in Nature.

Good wishes, ;)

I take it you've seen these videos:

The uploader is putting it on a bit - she has loads of similar videos up, but still, I am truly envious. In one there's the eagle, a dog and two cats - oh, and a fox, too, I think.

That's bonkers  The fox seems very much to be eyeing up one or more of the others as a possible lunch but rightly figures it's odds against 3 Eagles and 3 Cats are not favourable

A Few of Poppy

I've just been looking through a fraction of the photo's I have of Poppy taken throughout her 13years and have selected 5 to share with you.

Hmm.. this looks interesting

Think I'll have a quick snooze now..

She was just a wee pup in those two.

Do you have something to eat??..
Image
A bit older here.. she'd not grown into her paws or ears yet

I'll look after these for you dad..
Image
Aged 6 in this shot. I'd just come back from Brooklands on the bike (ZX9R then) and as was the routine, I had to hand over my gloves. Smiling face.. ears back and tail wagging ;)

Err.. I thought you said we were going for a walk???..
Image
Looking a bit older here.. aged 11. She could still turn on the charm when necessary! :)

Hope I've not bored you to tears ;)

Cheers Mike ;)

They did make me smile. Animals are such characters aren't they and no matter how similar they look, they're all different.. just like us. Mom and Dad's Jack Russell before their last loved the motorbike and always knew when I was going. Of course, they'd tell her 'David's coming' and when she heard the bike, she'd start barking (as Jack Russell's do).. they'd open the door and out she'd dash. She'd jump up my leg and onto the tank and lick my face while I still had my helmet on. She'd tiddle with excitement too which was a less desirable trait! It's not just any motorbike.. they seem to know which one is yours. Both Remy and Poppy knew when I was arriving. I'd look up to the French windows at the back of the pub and see smiling faces and waggy bums :)

Some very nice pics there, Dave.

Yes, I'm on my 4th dog and they all are very different, but you can always rely on them. They really are something amazing and special.

Peter, I could have done with one of those this week - my little GPZ was struggling under the weight of all my radio kit, on the 180-mile trip to Colerne and then back again:

Outside the Officers Mess, waiting for the 'off'...

Despite having 'duffed up' the suspension on the way down (something clunking heavily on each bump in the road - and just don't mention pot-holes!) it actually took an hour less on the return journey! Managed on a tank of petrol, too, without going onto reserve and keeping to 80mph on all the A-roads. I was left feeling very, very sore in the derriere, mind.
