Another new lick of paint for the ND EC130..

Image

The shape of the model lends itself well to the old RN Sharks Gazelle.. which may follow next :RN: :cpu:

Looks good Dave  You could almost mistake it for a Gazelle if you squint
We could do with a high quality Gazelle, not to mention a Lynx.
Good luck with the Sharks paint ;)

Agreed on all counts mate ;) . An up to date Lynx would be great.. a Gazelle too. I've looked at the Abacus Gazelle a few times and each time, I see something else I don't like about it. It certainly won't be hitting a basket near me

There are a few bits and bobs I can add to the 130.. I know the military are keen on warning signs.. and I can add an airframe number too. Wasn't sure about the roundel (and I'm still not sure to be honest). Didn't know whether to make it light blue with a different red (as per your Bell222) or go for something more.. 'old hat' RN Lynx. In the event, I went for the older 'Lynx look' (pale roundel with ROYAL NAVY on the boom) but hey.. a few licks in Elements and it can something else in a moment ;)

Well that's the first time I've seen a good reason to buy the ND EC130. Hope you'll make any repaints available ...

I also have to ask what's wrong with the existing Gazelle models by Cyril Pioffet (FS9) and UKMIL (FSX) ? They may not be new, but they seem pretty accurate to these old eyes, and there are a fair few repaints available (at least for Cyril's model).

Hi Dave,

That looks very nice,

Roger.

Cheers fellas :)

Ro.. don't go buying the 130 on my account  I'm doing the couple I'm doing for a bit of fun, no more. The default model comes with a a real UK reg (which is most unusual) G-SASY.. the float model and it's great but I got bored with only one G paint. I've not seen any more available (and believe me.. I keep looking) :( There are a number of UK registered 130's but the schemes on these are above both my interest and level of skill so I've done a couple of plain colour/no reg paints for me to doss around in and the RN 'What if' paint. I've actually started on the RN Sharks 'What if' too. Need to put the wireframe over the skin to match the lines up. Will probably finish that tomorrow when the wife has gone back to Nottingham :worried:
If anyone has the 130 and would like the 'plain' skins and/or the RN what-if's.. I'll be happy to upload them :)

BTW.. I have Cyril's Gazelle in FS9 but as that model was dragged from FS8.. I've not bothered dragging it yet further into FSX. Wasn't aware UKMIL had a Gazelle.

Cheers Gaffer

I actually downloaded it last night after Ro' pointed out you'd made one. This has just prompted me to install it :cpu:

The Gazelle must've been a sound design

Eurocopter Developed the EC-130 from The AS.350 and it ended up looking pretty much like a Gazelle.
