Chose today for the date and time of this flight and loaded ASN to see how close it was to the real thing..
Not the ideal weather to try out my EC130 in it's new base white livery (I've a red one too)
As for the weather.. we've had neither thunder nor lightning and the rain hasn't been as persistent as depicted. While finishing the white paint, it DID rain sharp for a few seconds (without me noticing).. soaking my work jacket I'd put out minutes earlier because the sun had come out
The sun is out again and the wet roads and footpaths are already almost dry.
DG.. love what you did with the tower for Pye Green mate. It
really makes the whole area come alive. I added the 2 small masts too for good measure

Dunno. I'm back at work now so I was in Lichfield all day. None there!

I think all of them just shove thunderstorms in whenever there's a reference to CB's or TCU in the METAR instead of linking it to TS.

Any showers today?
Locally if the weather is showery FS usally shows lightning.

I've seen plenty of rain with ASN but the lightning depicted today was above and beyond what I've ever seen in FS before. Very impressive although very wrong!

Ah...good old Cannock Chase. Spent many a happy hour there as a kid, just up the road from my dear late Dad's in Bloxwich.
I live just north of Cambridge now, and we had a fair bit of thunder here today. My heart will forever be in Bloxwich though.
Regards
Kevin
