Channel Express Virtual

Post by Swanoir »

Er, anyone here involved in this? Shuffled over to their site almost by accident. Remember watching the Heralds coming in and out of Bournemouth Hurn like buses back in the day when my Dad worked across the runway at Lovaux. As I like the Herald, and I have a tenuous connection to Channel Express, I thought 'What the hell, when in Rome...' So I began the process of registration. Very simple. Got to the bit where I had to choose the hub. Gatwick, Leeds Bradford, India...many diverse locations, but not Bournemouth. The Home of the original Channel Express. Not a problem, I'll just email or send a PM to the powers that be and ask for clarification. Er, no. No way at all to get in touch with anyone...unless you register. Which I don't want to do until I have my questions answered. Well done CBFS lads for being the complete opposite, approachable, courteous and friendly. I'm proud to be here.

I think I saw at Allnodes that they'd just moved to a new server. Perhaps this has contributed to your problem mate *-)

Bit awkward...got a reply from their Facebook presence...they're big on their 'new' aircraft, and refute the accusation that they're 'Jet 2 Virtual'...but wont acknowledge that Channel Express flew Heralds (at least not in a way that fits with their skewed view on 'realism'...) This is not as real as it gets...in fact, I've got a slight headache...

Oh dear, that's not very good at all. A quick look at the Dart Group History page goes through all of their types over the years.

Actually, they set the name "Dart Group" after the Rolls Royce engine!! :)
