FSX Cessna208B Grand Caravan

Post by dodger »

Hi,

I am trying to remove the Yoke in the VC , i could do it ok to aircraft in F9 using DXTBmp but i can't get it to work in FSX, although it does say that DXTBmp works with FSX,

I am obviously not saving the texture file right so perhaps someone might know how to do it,

Thanks,

Roger.

Well Garry i open DXTBmp find the texture folder with the yoke in it, open MS Paint and using pure green [0,225,0] paint over the yoke ,save it, go back to DXTBmp click image menu "reload after edit/click Alpha menu on the green channel [ as i have used the green paint] go to file menu and select save extended image/ in the box that appears click DXTI with Alpha /click OK.

Voila!

when i had fs2004 i removed the yoke in the default 737-400 and others as well.

OK so you're using MS paint to modify the texture :)

It probably won't work in FSX. If the material used hasn't been set up for it, no amount of fiddling with the texture will make the yoke disappear.
