TBH, I don't think it's too bad. Not worth full price IMHO, but with the discount along with my JF points it only cost a fiver. It's worth that much anyway
Edited out the nav and beacon lights, and I'm just looking at swapping the AB effect for something better.
In two minds whether to change the HUD or not *-)

Rgr that Guy's. I'd forgotten about Chris's mini review. :)

I don't think it's bad.. it's just not what I was expecting. In the event, I think I prefer the rather wild way the AFS model handled. The JF model is very fast but quite unremarkable and despite remming out the troublesome frame-hungry radar (which has helped).. it's still too frame hungry with absolutely nothing in view except the HUD screen and that with the HUD turned off. I wonder if removing the gauge/s it'll speed up any *-)

Disappointing as an i5/GTX560Ti/Win7 64 rig should be able to run what I see (and what I can't) better. It's like the Wilco Harrier Vs the Razbam Harrier. Each look no less detailed and come equipped with impressive cockpits but one runs like my 13-year-old Labrador and the other, like a greyhound! The Wilco model is either far too crammed with poly's or the gauges aren't efficient.. probably a combination of both :|

It's definitely a gauge issue with the JF Tiffy. I remmed out all the gauges & performance was then what you would expect. I don't find the FPS too bad overall, but it's rather up and down, as you've found. Probably would be better if it was lower, but stable. :dunno:

Indeed Dave. Going from 19/20fps to 30fps (or 30 down to 20 if you like) with no apparent change of scenery or condition.. something isn't right. One can only imagine what the poor souls with these system requirements have found..
•Flight Simulator X (Acceleration, Gold or SP2 required)
•2.0GHz or any Dual Core
•2.0GB RAM
•512MB graphics card
•Windows 8 / 7 / XP (32-bit or 64-bit) / Vista
•560MB hard drive space

It certainly runs better than the Wilco Harrier but almost everything does! What does 'textures optimised for DX10 Preview' amount to? I gather they weren't on the original release *-)
