JF Razbam sale
This wekend - 50% off.
I've never been a Razzer fan, having tried two of their products and not been overly impressed (and getting stick for saying so at their fanbase forum - CombatACE). They said it was because they were FS9 ports.
However, watching some of their YouTube videos on the Harrier and it looks pretty nice, so I might bow to the heavenly force of MSFS (money sucking flight sims) and buy it.

Their Harrier runs a great deal smoother than the Wilco product. Check the camera view to the right and aft of the pilot (outside of course).. it's a belter

Re: JF Razbam sale
That's a coicidence.. I was thinking about that the other day. Another coincidence (or was it fate) was that the JF site was acting up so it wasn't added to basket. Be interested to know what folk think about the Frightning
It's not in the JF sale though Ben

Re: JF Razbam sale
I know mate, but at twenty English pounds its affordable, £30 for the Cranberry is a bit steep, especially when the boxed one is £25. I could probably talk myself into £25, but not £30. If the frightening is any good, it should be a lot of fun.

Ben.

I love your logic.. very similar to my own

EDIT: Something somewhere is telling me something.. I'm still getting this:
An unexpected error has occurred.
Please repeat your steps again.
Alternatively contact us to report the problem.
Sorry for any inconvenience.
Wonder if SWMBO has been in touch with JF

Re: JF Razbam sale
Addendum..
I don't get the error on the WinXP pc so I.. err.. added to basket
Used up a few points to make it a bit cheaper too
Initial findings (and they're very brief believe me).. it's not half bad. It's probably easier to fly than it should be (which is no bad thing).. it's good on FR's.. it looks the part and it's native FSX. Everything about it is faster than the Cranberry.. re-draws from whatever view are very fast. One could be critical and say it's no Razbam (dragging the thread vaguely back on track) and perhaps it's not quite a Cranberry either but it is what it is and it's a tenner cheaper.. more if you have points loafing
Is it fun? From my very brief flight.. yes it is. Is it worth twenty quid?? Depends on what you're after but generally.. I reckon £20 isn't bad for what you're getting. I like it and I hope to goodness there are a shed load of paints for it too. Download is quite big (over 300mb) but includes (I hope) the layered paintkit.. not that I'm planning to do any repaints for it

Re: JF Razbam sale
I keep eying up the JF Tiffy, but I'm waiting to see if it appears as a 24hr sale jobbie.
Aerosoft have a Lightning in the works that looks pretty good. No idea of a release date though, but I don't think it's too far off.

Re: JF Razbam sale
You can bet your bottom dollar that now I've bought it.. it'll appear in a flash sale!
I've seen that Aerosoft thread before (and before the beta test offer had closed). Didn't volunteer as I was still running the XP rig at the time. It certainly looks good but how much will it cost?
I had another quick flight in the JF model last night (although most flights in a Lightning are quick!!) and for my use.. casual.. not looking for 'As real as it gets'.. something that is fun to fly as a diversion from what I usually fly.. it seems to tick all the boxes. I'm not sure what effect Accu-Feel is having on it.. I've not switched it off yet.. but it's certainly not the handful I expected. It's low speed characteristics are quite gentle and predictable.. nothing like lets say.. the default FA-18. It goes like stink too though not in the 'all or nothing' manner you might expect. This IS deceptive though. On the quick hop from Yeovilton to Culdrose, I managed to hit over 70,000ft without trying (I was goofing outside looking at the model rather than actually flying)
I've not had a chance to familiarise myself with the cockpit yet but straight away, I can say it is not to the same high standard as the Canberra and the package as a whole doesn't have the same level of bells and whistles. This said, what you get with it is quite normal.. the Canberra is above and beyond normal.. a level above if you will and I guess this is reflected in the price of both. The Lightning is no less a model but it's not as polished as the Canberra. It does score in one area though.. it all appears to work!
Should it pop up in a sale.. I'd say bag a copy but.. the non-sale price (if you can't wait) isn't excessive and if you have a few JF points loafing, it's better still
