Found the little B@%&^*d causing the problem with SMM :cpu:

Instead of moving GenX 3DO's up the list.. I decided to start unticking various ES sceneries. While doing this, I remembered that the IoS scenery removes the default dock and adds another for ScillionianIII to tie up at (though to be brutally honest, I'd never seen Scillonian3 tie-up there until just!) :-O Inside the IoS Maritime Traffic folder are 4 files.. ES-IOS-BTX.bgl, PenzanceFerrDockexclude.BGL, PenzanceNewDock.bgl and Plymouth-Ships.bgl.

Now.. I know from past experience that Plymouth-Ships.bgl fills 'PORTSMOUTH' with American warships so I'd already changed the suffix to .bgD (or something like that) having added my Portsmouth scenery. The only exclude I have (which again, I'd forgotten about) is George's hideousFerryTerminalExclude and I know IT wasn't responsible otherwise George wouldn't be seeing SMM either so it had to be the IoS PenzanceFerrDockexclude. With IoS Maritime Traffic folder deselected, SMM reappears in all it's glory with those vile trees  Problem is, the old hideous ferry terminal appeared with IoS Maritime Traffic deselected and I'd have thought George's exclude would still be killing it. I think I put it in Addon Scenery/Scenery along with the Portsmouth Liner exclude and it seems to work as those horrible terminals are nowhere to be seen :dunno:

Anyhoo.. that's the mystery of SMM solved and it WAS ES scenery that caused it. OK.. it's not solved some of the other problems I've had with ES but 1 out of 100 ain't bad

Both Uk2000 and ES IOS have files for EGHE, you need to lose one of them.

Yes, that explains it. I don't have the Scilley boats ;)

Hiya George :hello:

Oh yes.. the UK2K EGHE files were pulled before I installed the ES scenery but not before I'd had a look first. It's a shame because they're good files even though they're not (of course) as detailed as the ES version. You wouldn't expect them to be ;)

There remains a mix of approach lights at EGHE which I only recently noticed and I'm not sure who's are which if that makes sense. I'll post a screenie later ;)

I kept the IoS boat traffic file because I like seeing the liner come and go plus the US fleet out to the west and all the other stuff that livens the scenery up. 'Plymouth-Ships' had to go though

I'm intrigued as to why the old default dock appears with the ES exclude removed. Have I got your ferry dock exclude in the wrong place George?

I don't understand. If you remove the exclude, it will appear.

Which is my ferry dock exclude? I didn't do one for Penzance.

Hi George :)

I thought your file 'ExcludeEandWFerriesTerminals.BGL' got rid of all default ferry terminals or have I lost the plot? *-) I take it it doesn't then? :dunno:

EDIT: This is what I mean by the lights at EGHE..

Are the big yellow ones Gary's or Darren's?

I've got it. PenzanceFerrDockexclude.BGL is huge and excludes SMM.

My "global" exclude ferry terminals should have included Penzance but doesn't :'( I'll update it after lunch.

Here you go, includes (excludes) Penzance:

http://www.geo-davison.demon.co.uk/Excl ... minals.BGL

I have it in a scenery area just above Gen-X in the scenery librarry.

Don't forget to delete PenzanceFerrDockexclude.BGL from ES-IOS-BTX.

BTW. I don't think the new dock is up to Darren's usual standard
